Making time in a busy schedule to make healthy food options can be daunting 💀……💀…..💀…….. Between work, family time, laundry, cleaning and possibly school: finding time to nourish our bodies with healthy, vitamin packed choices can be the last thing we have time for. I have an awesome recipe that takes little time and has a powerful punch of nutrients.
I have discovered using a pressure cook that takes little prep time and you can cook your whole pot of veggies in 20 minutes!! You can use any type of pressure cooker. A specific type of pressure cooker is not needed. An example of a pressure cooker is posted to the right.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups frozen vegetables,
- 1/2 cup water (can add chicken bullion cubes to your liking for additional flavor)
- season veggies with preferred seasonings.
Directions:
- Pour 1/2 cup water(or flavored chicken bullion ) into bottom of pressure cooker
- Place steamer basket into pressure cooker
- Place veggies into steamer basket
- Close lid to pressure cooker
- Set manual pressure for 20 minutes and press start
- After pressure cooker has completed 20 ,minutes of cook time, slowly vent the pressure cooker with a slow release.
- Eat and enjoy!!!
