The last day of the year and the beginning of something new. Whether year 2022 kicked your ass, brought enlightenment or revealed revelations, there is something to be said about making it through 365 days. The times you laughed, cried, sighed are all related somehow to a mixture of a collage of life that you lived through. A collage that that you can continue to make look the same or change the pieces so that the pieces fit a little better. Maybe this past year, you were able to paint a bright picture of love and success or maybe you gave your personal paintbrush to another artist to paint your picture. if so, get that damn paintbrush back and go wild painting brilliant and bright. Paint so bright that neon looks dull. Love so hard that Valentine’s Day looks pale in comparison, live through your own eyes. See what you are meant to see. See you….I see you. I see everyday people hustling, grinding, loving, holding onto their beloves tight, all the while trying to hold onto themselves to become the best version they can be, day in and day out, day out and day in….

Day in and day out, day out and day in….

Was this past year hard to get through, was this past year filled with tears, unprepared change or fear. If so, place your halo on top of your head where it belongs. Shine your halo so bright that it blinds your critics. Set your hopes and dreams on your wings and watch them take flight. Practice self -care, care of self, care for you

Self- care, care of self, care of you….

What does that mean? It sounds so easy to understand, but the action of self -care can be limited but exhilarating no matter how small the gesture may be. Squeeze in time to meditate, exercise, listen to music and unwind. Today, I went to the gym for the first time in over a year. It was amazing how the bond I felt with other people upped my anty to participate and let go of built-up tension. COVID has left many people feeling alone, unmotivated or finding themselves isolated without even realizing how the walls of isolation were built. Take back your creativity and build upon a social circle that promotes support and fun. Say hello to the future and keep looking ahead, the rear-view mirror only pictures the road we traveled, it does not determine the road ahead.
